The 2012-13 ArtsBridge season is fueled with culturally and artistically powerful performances designed to expose students to the endless possibilities discovered through art. Popular literary titles like Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great, Cinderella, and Clifford the Big Red Dog are joined by exciting, educative adventures like Rock the Presidents, Black Violin with Drums and The Atlanta Opera's Carmen. Explore the history of music with Cobb Energy Centre's new Jazz Roots series and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's The Roots of American Music. See the haunting story of Dracula come to life with the Atlanta Ballet. Celebrate African culture with the Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble. This ArtsBridge season holds something special for every student.

Young Audiences Assembly Adventure: Dave Holland
Drumming Up the Stories
February 21-April
Young Audiences brings another in-school experience to your school with performer and musician Dave Holland. Dave delivers a high-octane lesson in multimedia storytelling guaranteed to spark the imagination and kindle a love of reading. Students learn how the drum was first used to communicate, how music can enhance storytelling, and how instruments can be created from ordinary objects. Lots of audience participation ensures a memorable, fun-filled, percussion-loaded learning extravaganza as Dave sings, drums, and narrates his way through an array of world folktales.

Experience a truly comprehensive artistic fusion of DANCE and MUSIC. Synergy 2012 will feature the 30-member Kennesaw State University Dance Company and 60-member Kennesaw State University Orchestra collaborating to give school students a unique art experience. The content of this program is best suited for middle school and high school students. Packed with energy, creativity and technical virtuosity, this is a FREE event that will provide a cross-disciplinary understanding of the arts.
