A Japanese geisha girl leaves family and tradition behind to marry an American Naval officer and experiences amazing heartbreak as a result. Butterfly's struggle with love, family, honor and the culture clash between East and West make this story a universal one that students will identify with today. A wonderful study of cultural differences, this production is designed by renowned Japanese-American sculptor, Jun Kaneko. With bold colors, striking costumes and digitally animated projections, this opera is truly a moving piece of artwork. A great experience for opera newcomers and seasoned opera-goers alike.
This special matinee is 50 minutes; taken from the full production and performed with full sets, costumes and lighting, accompanied by the opera's full orchestra.

Based upon the critically-acclaimed book by two-time Newbery award-winning writer Lois Lowry, ArtsPower's dramatic adaptation will challenge and satisfy audiences as it recounts the special relationship between a young girl and a boy with autism. She knows there is meaning in the unintelligible sounds he makes and purpose behind his awkward movements. Katy's quiet understanding and patience allows her to appreciate Jacob's gifts within his silent world.

Choreographed by David Nixon, this new ballet reveals the tormented world of the immortal Count. Discover the inspirational magic that has captivated young readers for decades. This enchanting musical is based on C.S. Lewis' adventure story about four children of war-torn England, who accidentally enter the land of Narnia by climbing through a magic wardrobe. This strange and wondrous place is ruled by the cold-hearted White Witch, who makes the winter last year round. Although they seem unlikely saviors, the children fulfill an ancient prophecy by defeating the witch, thus restoring sunshine and peace to the spell-bound Narnia and returning the great Lion King Aslan to his throne.

Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, every day, run-of-the-mill ten-year-old: normal mom and dad, normal little brother, normal life. That's just the problem – for Stanley, life is too normal. He wants to travel the world, do something amazing, something no one's ever seen before. Careful what you wish for, Stanley! One night, the bulletin board on the wall above Stanley's bed comes loose and falls. Right on top of Stanley! And the next morning, Stanley Lambchop wakes up flat. Not just a little flat...really, REALLY flat. And the adventure begins!
