March at the Centre!

March has so far proven itself to keep us busy here at the Cobb Energy Centre. Our month began last weekend with Ja’Caryous Johnson’s stage play, ‘Married but Single Too.’ This week (March 6-12) consists of four back-to-back shows starting with ‘An Evening of Storytelling from Lake Wobegon’ with Garrison Keillor on Thursday. Friday night, we celebrate the king of pop with ‘MJ Live,’ a Michael Jackson tribute concert. Jim Jefferies brings his comedic ‘Unusual Punishment Tour’ to the Centre on Saturday night, and we finish off the weekend with the Grammy nominated ladies of Celtic Woman Sunday afternoon.  Along with this week’s performances, we’re announcing two Shows: The ‘Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses’ on sale March 7 and ‘Peppa Pig Live’ that will go on sale Friday. March 17-19, the Atlanta Ballet brings ‘Gennadi’s Choice’ to Cobb Energy Centre, a variety show which puts the ballerina’s power and athleticism on display for the audience. On top of a multitude of shows in the building, we’re also celebrating our 10 year anniversary here at the Cobb Energy Centre. In Light of the celebration, we’re highlighting a different group every month that has played a large part of our 10 successful years. This month, the spotlight is on the Atlanta Opera. They will be here March 25-April 2 to perform ‘Don Pasquale,’ a comic opera set in the 1840s. The Atlanta Opera’s 2017-2018 season has recently been announced and will include performances including The Flying Dutchman and Carmen. Their season starts in November and season subscriptions as well as single show tickets will be available to purchase later this year!
