Performing Arts Festival
The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation will host a public arts festival event on Sunday, September 13, 2009. Overture to the Arts is an annual celebration that serves as a preview to the upcoming arts season in metro Atlanta. Visitors will be immersed in a festive atmosphere of expression and creativity. Dozens of arts organizations will have season information available on dance, music, theatre, family, comedy, and cultural programming. The stage of the John A. Williams Theatre will come alive with a steady rotation of free performances, designed to showcase a sampling of regional arts scene offerings. The day’s activities will also include docent-led tours of the facility. Overture to the Arts is free, and a nominal parking fee of $5.00 per car is charged for onsite parking.
