|Tuesday is the 16th Annual Atlanta Jewish Film Festival (AJFF) Opening Night. The Festival , the world’s largest Jewish film festival, has announced its Opening Night will feature a screening of the thriller Remember, from Oscar-nominated director Atom Egoyan and starring Oscar-winners Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau. AJFF will return for another expansive 23 days from Tuesday, January 26 through Wednesday, February 17, 2016.|
Friday we welcome Johnny Mathis on his 60th Anniversary Tour. A sublime vocalist whose approach to pop music eclipses passing fads and trends, Mathis has performed songs in an incredible variety of styles and categories — from music composed for stage and film to golden era jazz standards, contemporary pop hits, and holiday music, all of which has assured his reputation as one of the most enduring vocalists in music history.
To the delight of fans of the American Big Bands and the Big Band era, the brassy, all-singing, all-dancing, all-American 1940s musical revue, In The Mood is coming to Atlanta!
Hop aboard the “Chattanooga Choo Choo” to “Tuxedo Junction” and get “In The Mood” for a “Moonlight Serenade.” In the Mood is a fully staged tribute to Glenn Miller, The Andrews Sisters, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and other idols of the ’40s.
