Scholorship Opportunities

Each year, generous donors who are committed to theatre arts education grant scholarships to outstanding students participating in the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards (GHSMTA). Scholarships are typically valued between $500-$5,000. The Scholarship Committee reviews all applications thoroughly and selects recipients based on the student’s interest as well as the criteria required for each scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

We offer two types of scholarships:

• Cash Scholarships: Available to Shuler students in grades 9-12, with priority given to graduating seniors.

• Performing Arts Internships/Opportunities: These experience-based scholarships may range from one week to several weeks in duration and are available to students in grades 9-12.

Scholarships will be announced during the live-streamed nomination announcements via GPB in mid-March.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR:

1. Student Involvement in Selection Process: Students will now select from a list of available scholarship opportunities they are interested in receiving. Having students part of the process ensures a successful and productive match between the student and donor.

2. Application Timeline: The official application can be found on the Acceptd platform and will open from January 12, 2026, to February 16, 2026. Students who wish to express interest and receive notifications or reminders when the application opens can complete the Scholarship Interest Form available here or at artsbridgega.org.
